Delete files from Google Desktop Search
Google Desktop Search is good but it waste a lot of disk space for indexing.
If you use (like me) only the Deskbar and some cute gadgets, it is possible to delete all cached info.

Disable the restore file creation date "feature"
If you encounter a strange behaviour when playing with file Creation date on Windows, don't be misleaded, it is a feature of Window OS, not a bug.
It is called FileSystem Tunneling.
Your file Creation Date will become alive and will live until you disable this feature.

How to Disable Tunneling
Follow these steps, and then quit Registry Editor: 1. Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK.
2. Locate and then click the following key in the registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetControlFileSystem
3. On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click DWORD Value.
4. Type MaximumTunnelEntries, and then press ENTER.
5. On the Edit menu, click Modify.
6. Type 0, and then click OK.

Internet Explorer hangs when loading a web page.
Some days ago something strange happened on my laptop; I opened InternetExplorer, entered the URL, and press return; after a couple of seconds, Explorer GUI got freezed; the whole operating system seemed freezed, WindowsExplorer, Office, every sw based on IE COM objects... tried uninstalling GoogleDesktop, installing spy cleaners etc. but with no result.
